“Today, I am writing to you for a very unusual reason. My friend Alexander will become 30 next month and his dream has always been to become a part of the game development.” Some weeks ago, we received a mail starting with these lines from Lucjan H., asking us for a one-day internship at InnoGames as a present to his friend Alexander. Normally we do not do those short-term internships here as the amount of knowledge and insight that you can transport on one day is limited. But in this case, Lucjans mail was that kind that we decided to give it a chance and offer Alexander a stay in our The West team.
„If you´re going to San Francisco…” With Scott McKenzie´s song stuck in our heads, we went to California the week before Easter to visit the annual Game Developer´s Conference (GDC) 2013. Our organizer Henning will give you more information about the event and the rules.

People who visited our InnoGames headquarters on Sunday afternoon could assume to be confronted with the remains of a long party night. But no way: Not a party, but the Global Game Jam 2013 caused this ‘state of emergency’ among the participants and the organizer.
